Our Polite Son

We headed to the mall twice this week, once to pick up my wedding band which needed to be enlarged 1.5 sizes after having R, and a second time to get Dad some new pants. His only pair of jeans now have two holes in them so he needed something a tad nicer for work.

During both trips to the mall, we stopped at the dino playcenter and let A and L climb around on the mammoth and his friends. Last Monday, I sat in the parents section and nursed R while the two played. On two different occasions I heard A say "L where are you?" It was so sweet he was checking in to make sure she was alright. Then on 2 separate occasions, he lead L by the hand to me after she had fallen onto the spongy floor and ended up crying. It was so adorable to see him so caring towards his sister.

Today, while Dad and I looked on, he said "Excuse me" to 4 different children and one parent and waited patiently while they got out of his way, slowly as they were tiny (well, I think the parent was a bit deaf and rude). A also called out for L twice as he played and she snuggled Dad. A also ran over to us holding L's hand again as she cried from falling off the purple dinosaur.

He did such a good job protecting his sister and being polite while at the same time having so much fun his arms were sore at dinner from climbing. He makes us so proud.
