Rylan Preschool year 1

Rylan has officially made it in life as he goes to "the big school" now. He loves school once he gets there and has learned so much during his short time there. He thrives on routine and is always checking in with his teacher, Ms. Nicole, to make sure she is keeping the schedule on time. He sings his ABC's, writes an "R" for his name and recognizes it in print, counts to 12, does one-to-one corespondence and adds small numbers together. He colors very neatly in the lines and paints wonderful pictures. He holds his pencil correctly and traces lines almost perfectly.

I do believe he is the teacher's pet as all the teachers love him and always have good things to say about him. He has recess with Lilly and knows the names of all her friends (as well as of the children in his class). He gets a kick out of the kindergarteners we see at pick-up saying "Bye Rylan" when we walk by.

He is very active and strong. He can push the buggy, with Susan in it, across the whole soccer field. Ry runs quickly and has a very good kick when he plays soccer. I love to watch him wrestle Ashton as Ash takes it easy on Ry, but Rylan takes out Ashton, alot. Rylan loves Star Wars and playing Legos. He could spend hours sitting on the floor making different Star Wars vehicles and characters out of tiny Legos. Maybe he will be a designer like his Dad in the future.

Tonight the kiddos wrestled with Dad and Rylan used his secret weapon, the eyebrow lift. Everytime he does it Dad laughs and the children could attack and win. His lift is pretty cute, it shows all the muscles between his eyebrows. He has always been expressive with his face and now we can see how.
